If you are organizing a trip and want to leave your dog with a sitter, one of the first questions is how much it costs. We share how prices move on Woof today, based on the real sitters we have active in Buenos Aires.

The real range on Woof

As of May 2026, looking at active sitters on the platform for one night of boarding, prices move approximately between ARS $15,000 and $44,000 per night. The typical minimum for a sitter with a house or apartment in CABA starts around ARS $20,000 per night.

Values include Woof!'s 12% commission (it is what you see on each profile and what you end up paying).

Each sitter sets their own rate, generally based on area, size and type of pet, and experience. The difference between the cheapest and the most expensive can be more than double for the same night, so it is worth comparing several profiles before choosing.

Factors that raise or lower the price

Pet size and type

Each sitter defines a different rate by size (small, medium, large, giant dog) and by type (dog or cat). When you choose your pet in the booking, the system automatically takes the corresponding rate from the sitter, so the price you see when confirming is the real one for your case.

Number of pets

If you leave more than one pet in the same booking, the total price is calculated by adding the rate for each one based on size and type. For now the platform does not apply automatic discounts based on quantity.

Special needs

If your pet takes medication, is in post-surgery recovery, is very anxious or needs specific attention, tell the sitter before booking so they can assess whether they are able to care for them. You can leave a public question on their profile.

Season

In January, Holy Week, July (winter break) and December demand goes up. Sitters tend to get booked quickly on those dates. Booking several weeks in advance ensures availability and better selection.

Modality

Care at the sitter's home (the most common today) and at-home care (at your place) usually have similar rates. What changes is the logistics: at-home care means the sitter travels to your home, at theirs you take the pet to them.

What the rate includes

  • The complete stay per night (drop-off and pick-up based on the dates and times you coordinate).
  • Company and attention during that stay.
  • Communication with the sitter via chat once the booking is confirmed.

Food is not something the platform defines: you coordinate it with the sitter. The most common is that you bring it (especially if your pet has specific food), but some sitters can offer the food themselves. Leave a public question on their profile to know how they handle it.

If you have other doubts about how a sitter works (walks, schedules, how they handle a veterinary emergency), you can also leave them through the same channel before booking.

How to find the best option for your budget

1. Compare at least 3-4 profiles

Do not stick with the first one. Look at rate, reviews and location before choosing.

2. Search in nearby neighborhoods

Sometimes 10 blocks make a difference. If you live in Palermo, also check sitters in Villa Crespo or Belgrano. The trip is not much and there can be better price/quality ratio.

3. Leave a question before booking

If you have a particular situation - a very long stay, several pets, a pet with special needs - leave a public question to the sitter on their profile before confirming. It helps you align expectations and avoid surprises.

4. Do not compete for the cheapest

The difference between the cheapest sitter and a mid-range one can be several thousand pesos per night. Over a week-long stay that adds up. If what you save is because you chose a sitter without reviews or one who takes long to reply, it is not worth it.

How payment works on Woof

You pay with credit card, debit card, prepaid card or your Mercado Pago account, all from the same screen when confirming the booking. The money is held by Woof until the care is completed: if something happens, you have backup. When the service ends, the sitter receives the payment.

The commission is 12% to the client and is already included in the price you see on each profile.

In summary

  • Real range on Woof! today: ARS $15,000 to $44,000 per night, with a typical minimum around ARS $20,000 in CABA.
