Question 1

How does daycare by the hour work?

Accepted Answer

Daycare is care during the day, with no overnight stay. You drop off and pick up your pet on the same day. It is charged per hour: you choose the drop-off and pick-up times, and you pay for the hours your pet is being looked after. Ideal for when you work all day, go out for a few hours, or something unexpected comes up and you cannot take your pet with you.

Question 2

Is there a minimum number of hours to book daycare?

Accepted Answer

The minimum is 1 hour. You can book anything from a single hour (while you go to a medical appointment, for example) to a full 10 to 12 hour day. Each sitter sets the hours they are available on their profile, based on their weekly schedule.

Question 3

Can I leave my pet in daycare for several days?

Accepted Answer

Daycare always happens within the same day (drop-off and pick-up on the same day, with no overnight stay). If you want several days, you make a separate daycare booking for each day. If you need your pet to sleep at the sitter's, that is boarding and you book it as such (charged per night).

Question 4

What if I need the sitter to come to my home?

Accepted Answer

Some sitters offer the in-home modality: they go to your place and look after your pet in its usual surroundings. Each sitter's profile shows whether they offer it. The price can vary depending on the maximum travel radius the sitter has set.
